Bill Blass Collection Launch

Today marks the re-emergence of one of America’s staple fashion brand’s, Bill Blass. This time around they come about as the first global-ecommerce only designer label, born from a desire to service consumers in the most responsive and contemporary way. “We are advancing the brand in a way that is digital for today and tomorrow while honoring the brand’s philosophical origin and illustrious past,” says Bill Blass President & COO, Stuart Goldblatt, “Everyone at Bill Blass is passionate about infusing vitality into one of the greatest fashion brands in history. We are committed to investing in our future and creating the foundation for a vibrant global brand, led through eCommerce.”

Originally established in 1970, today the Bill Blass label is a modern interpretation of itself under the hands of Creative Director, Chris Benz, respecting the brands’ heritage but remaining mindful of today’s woman as they launch RTW, handbags, accessories and shoes. For example, this latest collection has tremendous 70’s flare showing off an impressive display of sportswear and tuxedo inspired pieces but rather than stiff and structured they’re shown in much more relaxed silhouettes. Fabrics of choice were linen twill, silk-charmeuse and cashmere featured in bright colors or patterned in rugby stripes with a layer of burnout jersey basics and often detailed with ruffles.
