Cheval Blanc Hotels (Part 1): Courchevel

Since the 2006 opening of its first Maison in Courchevel, Cheval Blanc, which is a luxury hospitality brand developed by LVMH Hotel Management, a specialist entity of the luxury fashion empire Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) Group, has been offering contemporary and refined hospitality that presents an entirely new concept of high-end luxury hotels.

Cheval Blanc, Courchevel 1850, France

Cheval Blanc boasts an excellent ski in/ski out location in the exclusive Jardin Alpin region of Courchevel 1850. This five star hotel is luxurious in all that it does, from the understated elegant interior from renowned interior designer Sybille de Margerie through to the attentive service from their team of hospitality professionals.

Following the highly successful renovation of the Chalet, the opening of the 2015-2016 season saw the unveiling of nine newly renovated rooms, including six junior suites. Of timeless refinement, the rooms are adorned with grey-veined marble and Zebrawood, accented by bronze, leather, linen and cashmere. The ultra modern technical equipment including flat screen television sets and lighting programs for all times of day, blends into the high fashion décor.

After a day of skiing, guests can take advantage of the Cheval Blanc Spa, which offers signature treatments and massages by Guerlain specially developed for winter sports. There’s also an infinity-edge pool, an ice water plunge pool, a rain shower, a steam room, a sauna, a fitness room and the Hair Room Service by John Nollet.

Once relaxed, it’s time to head for the restaurant. The Le 1947 three-Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant fuses French tradition with Chef Yannick Alléno’s sparkling creativity in an open kitchen giving a feeling of transparency and allowing diners a view on the chefs at work. There’s also the White restaurant, which celebrates conviviality with its bistro-style seating and deliciously simple dining experience.
