Collection Spotlight: Viktoria + Woods Winter 2016

When Margie Woods and Lisa Reynolds launched VIKTORIA + WOODS back in 2005 their approach was simple: to create effortless wardrobe staples with a pared-back, contemporary feel and their Winter 2016 collection, INTERLUDE, is no different.

Embracing their love for the laid back Australian style and elevated wardrobe fundamentals, Interlude stays true to VIKTORIA + WOODS’ timeless heritage, even when exploring new ideas and dressier elements. The season opens with a continued exploration into fluidity and relaxed dressing without dismissing the detail in beautifully considered design.

Knitwear is relaxed, with a preference for balanced styling. Their Kloss Oversized Knit is complete with built in pockets and tunic proportions, while the Sequel Boyfriend Cardi is supersized for blanketed perfection. Coating takes a military turn with the Colonial Long Trench in a perfect shade of Khaki.

The Lantana Print is a beautiful and darkly romantic addition to the collection. A dark based floral teaming beautifully against their soft cozy knitwear and the ever-growing denim combinations on offer.

“The Interlude collection has a sense of effortless luxury, from the use of fine textiles which is then highlighted with more elevated pieces. Interlude is then grounded and pared-back by our signature, relaxed style from heavy gauge merino wool knits, grey mélange tweed blends and soft organic cotton staples,” says Reynolds. “Today’s women can be both classic and raw and yet so effortlessly modern and polished. We don’t need to be one or the other,” adds Woods.
