Culture: Celebrating Princess Diana

If you’re planning a little trip to London anytime soon, may we suggest you time it accordingly? We promise it’ll be worth it because in February 2017 Kensington Palace will be honoring 20 years since the late Princess Diana passed on by showcasing some of her most memorable looks.

Known as one of the most elegant style icons of all time, her poise will live on through the Diana: Her Fashion Story Exhibition, where dresses and blouses that are now owned by museums and private collectors will be loaned for the duration of the showcase. In addition to her clothing, the Palace gardens will also be designed to sport her favorite flowers by certain gardeners that the Princess of Wales befriended during her time there.

One of the iconic pieces that will be on show for all will be the showstopping Victor Edelstein pen blue velvet gown which Princess Diana wore when she danced with John Travolta at a White House gala dinner in 1985. Alongside this will be a beautiful slipper-satin pink Emanuel blouse which she wore for an official engagement portrait in 1981.

To say that Princess Diana was a timeless icon is an understatement, but what will live on is her effortless style and grace.
