Get the Look: The Modern Chignon

The chignon will always be The Evergreen for hair styles, especially when you just want to go for an easy, modern and super cool look. In this case (Olivia at the Diesel SS17 runway show) I opted for a “messy bun” effect to give it a bit more edge than your classic version. To create it, we need to follow a few easy steps but remember to keep in mind the details of your face just to obtain a personalized look.

The best way to start is from a texture as natural as possible, (or you can even opt for a beach waves look). Bring your hair up in a ponytail – not too high because the “ballerina” chignon is not what we are looking for – and divide the ponytail in two sections that will be crossed until we obtain the perfect chignon. Remember, fix each of the sections with hair grips at the bottom of the ponytail. A little tip: do not tighten it too much, the messier the better, and remember to ruffle the hair with a mat wax just at the bottom of the ponytail. Super easy and great spin on a classic, these simples steps will have you ready to go with the perfect hairdo to last you from morning to night.
