For Olivia’s makeup look at the Golden Globes, our inspiration was ‘old Hollywood glamour’ but revisited in a modern new way. I balanced her bright bold lip with sun-kissed skin which was an elegant juxtaposition on a cloudy day. When applying the Diorskin Forever Foundation, I used a flat foundation brush to lay down the product on her skin, and then a buffing brush to buff it out. This is a great technique for a fuller coverage application, and makes the foundation really glow in pictures! I also used another of my red carpet tricks for the blush: after applying the Diorblush ‘Glowing Gardens’ in Floral Pink, I went over it with a little Diorskin Forever Foundation again to diffuse and ensure you don’t see any of the hard edges in any of the images, for the most natural flush possible. I also created the most natural shaping in the eye by using the same blush I used to contour with, Diorblush Sculpt in #004. Lastly, after applying the bright pink “Deauville” shade Rouge Dior Lipstick, I lined with the Rouge Dior Lipliner in Elite Pink after applying the lipstick – this helps shape and define the lips better, especially when applying such a bold shade.”- Daniel Martin
