Let it Snow: Our Skiing Must-Haves

When the temperatures dip below freezing there’s typically a split in how people react. While some of us are eager to escape the Winter weather to a much warmer destination simultaneously there’s a mass majority who embrace these chilly months by running off to the nearest mountain tops so they can excitedly hit the slopes and enjoy majestic mountain views, hot cocoa, roaring fires and powder filled trails for all of your winter sporting essentials (i.e skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc) – tis the season after all.

So, now the question we always pain ourselves with before any getaway, what do we pack? Unlike a tropical climate, it’s a tad more tricky when traveling to a cold destination, especially one with such an active itinerary for your schedule. With different levels of skiing aptitude to consider while simultaneously still wanting to be stylish it can be seemingly impossible to remain fashion forward while layered up to oblivion. Luckily, designers seemed to have caught on to this problem and this season there appears to be a larger variety of products to choose from than ever before. Choose from proper gear like ski jackets and leather heating gloves thanks to Fendi and Lacroix or more “Apres-ski” themed pieces like shearling gillets and leather skinnies via The Row and Gucci. So whether you’re charging down a black diamond, slowly hopping down the bunny trail or skipping the slopes altogether to sip your favorite cocktail in the lodge, we’ve got a mix of our favorite pieces for you to shop to help keep you cozy warm and stylish from head to toe.
