Lines We Love: Viktoria + Woods

Sometimes, all a woman wants is to feel clean and polished. Simple, in the best sense of the word. Step in, Viktoria + Woods.

Born in 2005, the label – made up of Margie Woods and Lisa Reynolds – was intent on creating wardrobe staples, with luxe fabrics and clean movements, pared-back and contemporary. The core of their label comes in the gorgeous merino wool collection, which was then followed by their usage of other sumptuous textiles, such as silk and cable knits. Where possible, the brand likes to be eco-friendly, using fabrics that are a little kinder to the world.

Sleek can sometimes be read as serious, but that isn’t the vibe Viktoria + Woods are going for. In fact, they’ve garnered a cool reputation for being ‘sports luxe’, something sought after in the trend world at the moment. The relaxed sport chic look – think short, wide-legged vertically striped palazzo pants, and a silk, draped white tank- also goes hand-in-hand with the chilled out Aussie culture they know so well. Simple maybe, but they’re not afraid of prints, regularly working with stripes and bold floral patterns.

Needless to say, most of their items are made in Australia, and can be found in the country’s biggest department store, David Jones. It’s clear that the duo are designing and creating from the heart, letting what they know and love function as the beating heart of the company.
