Moisturizers That Can Take the Heat

“The past couple weeks , temperatures were at an all time high and in said heat, its always the worst to FEEL your moisturizer or makeup in it too. Skin becomes oily and foundation tends to break down on the surface as well.

I’ve compiled my favorite under makeup moisturizers that’ll give you the hydration you need without the heavy feeling in high heat!”

1. L’Occitane Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream– My skin skews on the drier/sensitive side year round and in the summer I hate the feeling of a heavy cream on my face. I took this with me to Paris and it gave me the hydration I wanted without the weight of a creamy moisturizer. It has a light, velvety texture and a little bit melds into the skin a long way. Im obsessed with this stuff and I can’t wait to try it under makeup next time!

Wow this stuff is incredible! Its a whipped moisturizer that melds into the skin quickly and very aroma neutral. Actually no real scent at all. This is great on any skin type but I think more mature skin would love this as a pre makeup moisturizer. One would never know that there is 6 exotic African oils inside because it feels so light on the skin.
The holy grail of water creams. This is a kit staple for me and I mostly grab this for my oily and combination skin clients. This gives you the right amount of hydration while locking down my foundation I use on top.
4.  Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer SPF30– The perfect companion for those who have acne and need sun protection. This light, paraben free formula has no fragrance and is incredible under makeup. Even stubborn acne needs hydration (especially those on Acutane). This moisturizer gives you the SPF you need to protect from the harsh sun too.
This creamy water based formula dries down matte on the skin and retains its moisture for hours due to its high content of hyaluronic acid, Borage oil and Panthenol (Vitamin B). It’s been a lot staple for years!
