Olivia for Pretty Ballerinas Spring 2018

It’s no secret how long of a relationship we here at OliviaPalermo.com, and especially Olivia herself, has had with the brand Pretty Ballerinas. The beautifully constructed and embellished ballerina flat stems from the rich history of the Mascaro family who has been creating shoes for a celebrated 100 years this coming Spring. So as their leading lady of inspiration since the brand first launched in 2005, they tapped our very own boss lady to collaborate with and feature for their Spring 2018 collection.

Over the years, as Olivia’s career blossomed, Pretty Ballerinas was coming into focus as a fashion-forward brand with traditional values and classic craftsmanship showcased by the fact that the products are still created in the same village the Mascaro family has been producing shoes in for nearly a century, (often by the grandchildren of the original workers). As the relationship grew, with both brands crossing paths several times, it has finally culminated to this larger collaboration which we can all enjoy (see and shop all of the looks in the slideshow above)!

For the Spring 2018 campaign, Olivia is not only the face but the shoot itself was based on Olivia’s selection of 8 styles that represent the different aspects of her daily life. They include the following:

The Christy black and white lace sneaker

The nautically inspired, Ella electric sailor

The Ella bird of paradise

The Rosario in leopard with red trim

The Ella aqua studded slide

The Ella Tutti Frutti Tassel

Ella Polka Dot Slide

Ella Black Diamonds and Pearls

With the shoes anchoring the shoot, designers and brands like Athleta, Valentino, Zimmermann, Johanna Ortiz, Citizens of Humanity and Carolina Herrera help to bring the story to life – leading all of us to envision spending each moment of our lives in pretty ballerinas.
