One Brooklyn Bridge Hotel

Just when we thought Brooklyn couldn’t get any chicer – it did.

The latest ultra-cool, luxury-lifestyle hotel to land in Brooklyn is 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. Located in the striking Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, the 10-story, sustainable ground-up development is designed by New York-based Architecture Studio Incorporated. This 194-room hotel is thoughtfully formulated with pure and natural elements like reclaimed woods, industrial steel, custom hemp-blend mattresses by Keetsa and 100% organic cotton sheets.

The interior landscape was dreamed up by Harrison Green and includes natal mahogany trees, preserved moss and greenery moments in each guest room, floor to ceiling green wall in the lobby, as well as native greenery and reclaimed materials for dynamic art pieces throughout hotel. There are also thousands of panes of glass to showcase the surrounding greenery of Brooklyn Bridge Park.

This hotel is a total balance between conservation and convenience with rainwater reclamation system and low-energy lightbulbs throughout the hotel, as well as state-of-the-art, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. Then there are the elevated in-room experiences like vitamin-charged juices, seedlings packages for kids, and healthy 24-hour in-room dining.

In addition to the state of the art Field House fitness center, a yoga and barre studio, and multiple social spaces, the hotel guests will have access to a full-service Bamford Haybarn Spa with a wide selection of holistic treatments using natural restorative ingredients.

Could this hotel entice tourists to stay in Brooklyn over Manhattan? Quite possibly – it is the perfect basecamp to explore. And it definitely makes us want to book a room for a quick staycation.
