OP Must Have: Sylvia Furmanovich Clutch

The Bergdorf holiday windows this season represented an ode to iconic city landmarks. Places like the National History Museum with swarovski encrusted dinosaur “fossils”, bright neon red extravagant lights as musical instruments for the New York Philharmonic and a trip-worthy garden of florals bloomed with two gardeners representing, what else?, but the New York Botanical Gardens. Aligned with this year’s windows came a collection of one-of-a-kind products for sale, each designer reflecting a window, sometimes even working in tandem with the properties themselves to produce pieces like hand-painted umbrellas, scarves, jewelry and more.

It was among this selection of goodies that we came across Sylvia Furmanovichs’ clutch (as shown above) along with her jewelry (representing The Natural History Museum) that got us the most excited. The Brazilian designers’ artisinal pieces pair tones and textures of indigenous salvaged wood with rare and precious gems, (like gold and diamonds) to create an exceptional collection of one-of-a-kind pieces.
