Packing for: Cherry Blossom Season

One of Olivia’s favorite places to visit is Japan, and although she doesn’t get to go as often as she’d like, if there’s one time of year to get there it’s of course during Hanami (cherry blossom season). The trees bloom and a dream world of fuchsia and powder pink sakura flowers envelop the country starting from the lower elevations in Okinawa reaching upward towards Hokkaido.

So, when packing for such an occasion, we’re allowing ourselves to be swept away and embrace the romantic beauty of this serene scenery. For instance, pair a ballgown top over a pair of embroidered jeans and finish it off with a pair of raffia wooden flatforms. Whatever you do, have fun and whimsy with layers to create interesting forms and looks you may not have thought of before. For us, we’re starting with a pearl rose Rimowa, and filling it up with fluid silhouettes, beautiful embroidery and feminine details but keeping in mind origami shapes inspired by the country itself.
