Runway Report: Anya Hindmarch SS16

One thing is always for sure; out of all the high-end handbags that are available in the market today, Anya Hindmarch is always one to bring the most exciting and out-of-the-box designs for her consumer to choose from (typically from an inspiration one would never think of). With vibrant geometric patterns in a slew of symmetrical diamonds and chevrons, Spring 2016 welcomed another season of her dependably exciting aesthetic.

This season she pulled inspiration from brands of yester-year like Mothercare, WH Smith, Boots and especially John Lewis as seen in a variable of logos, stripes and even Lewis’ famed slogan, “Never Knowingly Undersold,” reinterpreted and splashed upon her pieces from head to toe. There were tennis themed keychains, tassel adorned sporty leather backpacks, newly shaped totes and some additional accessories introduced to the Hindmarch brand like silk scarves, knee-high boots and uber cool kicks to name a few.

The presentation staging was once again something to write about. Contortionist’s decked out in corresponding ensembles to their handbags (from leotards to oversized jackets) walked out onto a stage where their reflection was bounced off of surrounding mirrors poised in prism shapes creating a triple take of each look as it appeared.
