Runway Report: Barbara Bui Fall 2015

Provocative but nothing less then classy, Barbara Bui’s female has returned with pulsing power for Fall/Winter 2015.

Describing her collection as “romance pop”, sensuality is on full force for this collection. Skirts and short dresses took the lead (as a consequence, so did a lot of perfect pairs’ of legs) with asymmetrical minis and maxis that were slit thigh-high, coming in a mixture of fabrics – velvet and both patent and croc leather. Colors were mostly dark and monochrome, but that’s not to say anything from the solid 35-piece look read murky, bland or repetitive; shapes were constantly varied, relaxed leather pants were occasionally thrown into the mix, and the variety of coats and jackets on show were vast. Need a blazer? Leather jacket? Something for the ice-cold weather? Ask Barbara Bui.

A more obvious stance on Barbara’s “pop” female appeared towards the end of the show with subtle glamor touches, but the winner was none other than the finale look: a hefty cape that pretty much summed the whole collection.
