Runway Report: Dolce & Gabbana

It was a #DGFabulousFantasy for Fall 2016 as Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana turned all of their girls into their very own princess fantasies (cue the disney reel).

There were floral prints and large appliques that danced amongst the shoulders and hips of more than half of this seasons’ offerings, bringing the clothes to life with their three-dimensional personality. Of course lace came to play (after all it’s a Dolce & Gabbana collection) however fun and new initiatives shown via british military inspired tailcoats (via the Nutcracker) and even a literal teddy bear coat that marched it’s way down the runway.

There was also a slight nod to the 1940’s as modernized chaplets donned the top of many of the models heads, often adorned with embellishments of pearls, buckles and blooming flowers perfectly complimenting their calf-length dresses with streamlined shoulders.

Needless to say, we’re eager to play dress up in Dolce & Gabbana’s world as soon as possible.
