Runway Report: Emilia Wickstead AW18

The New Zealand designer looked towards America for her Fall 2018 showcase. Inspiration came from Ali MacGraw in the 1970s classic Love Story, a preppy yet romantic collection that would easily take one from boardroom to date night.

A large shirt stripe, a Scottish tartan print, and a cluster floral pattern were some of the prominent styles that stood out. White and burgundy striped shirt dress with a full skirt and crystal beaded collar brooch could be great for Kate Middleton, who is a fan of the brand. While a powder blue textured shirt, tucked into a pair of oxblood velvet, wide-leg pants would be ideal for the Wall Street lady who needs to look smart during the day and on-trend after dark. Sorbet colors of banana, raspberry, and blue bubblegum added brightness to the next season, allowing us to carry over some parts of our Spring wardrobe.

According to Ms. Wickstead, an Americana prep-in-your-step is all you need to runway into Fall in style.
