Runway Report: Emporio Armani Fall 2015

The pantsuit is back and better than ever if the Emporio Armani Fall 2015 runway is anything to go by.

Giorgio Armani’s latest collection, know as ‘Crossing Colors’, consisted of tailored trousers and neat, fitted jackets with bohemian patterns and bright, festive furs. The powered tailoring, predominantly in black, was given a vampish twist by the addition of accents of cherry red, a shade that is having its moment across the board.

The collection was softened with butterfly broaches that adorned the shoulders of high-waisted jackets and the front of full-waisted coats, and sculptural ruffles that trimmed dresses, collars and cuffs.

While cool-hued tweeds and knits opened the show, followed by a couple of bright fur pieces, including an oversized mohair dress with a sweet, bouncing skirt, ultimately this was a collection all about the slim-cut trousers, which stop short, leaving a glimpse of bare skin at the ankle.
