Runway Report: Etro Fall 2016

It was all a bit of a refreshing whirlwind at the Etro Fall 2016 runway show; a certain bohemian luxe if you will. Print and texture mania made up for an eye pleasing collection in Milan, and if this is anything to go by, next season is set to be a mix media of print, chiffon, velvet, fur, leather and lace.

As far as the styling went, we saw a ripe marrying of ditsy floral prints, on lace with leather, which to the eye was a match-made in harmony. What teased our tastebuds was the introduction of aubergine purple, a hue that has been on a pantone vacation in the last few seasons, has been reintroduced for Fall 2016. A long line dark violet leather jacket, paired with a striped scarf and sheer printed maxi made for the perfect boho Autumn look, as did the Cadbury’s shaded, tiny houndstooth long coat with shoulder badges, and gold piping.

Aside from the print and color blast that cascaded down the runway at Milan, the Etro AW16 collection set the path for all things expressionist, creative and unique. Making a statement next season should be a piece of cake!
