Runway Report: Fendi Fall 2017

It’s to be said that we believe Fendi is one of everyone’s favorite shows during Milan Fashion Week, and we believe it’s most likely due to the creative marvel that is Karl Lagerfeld and the effortless way he weaves together a story through his collections.

The Fendi Fall 17′ show took it down a notch with all things theme-orientated and went back to basics with a sophisticated edge and a throwback to old-school Fendi. The double F logo, which we all once loved and sported, was brought back to life with the new-wave Fendi strap stud. Handbags were given a fresh upgrade in said logo and handle detail, with added singular F hardware and textured exteriors. A small purse, clutch and pouch trio was held together with a round F ring and could be seen swinging casually through various luxe looks.

Meanwhile, the clothing spoke volumes about the new Fendi lady. A monochrome herringbone printed halter neck midi pleated jumpsuit with Roman numerals stating Fendi’s founding date on a black elastic band, was paired with thigh high red leather boots, sheer round neck blouse, and red hoop earrings. Followed by a delicately constructed dark almond chiffon boho dress with laser cut applique flowers, worn over a halter neck nude swimsuit-esque body suit and berry velvet knee high boots.

The Fendi lady has grown up for Fall 2017 and is wearing sharp shapes, seductive boots, edgy oldy-worldly fabrics, earrings, and bags that will stand the test of time. Bravo again Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi.
