Runway Report: Fendi SS17

Sitting at the Fendi SS17 show, we couldn’t help but reminisce about being a child and playing dress up. Of course, this time around it was the toy box and wardrobe of dreams, consisting of candy colored accessories, sorbet-hued ready-to-wear, and baby pigtails with scattered beads.

Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini sent down a lust-worth array of slipper-satin pink babydoll dresses, cornflower blue rompers, eau de nil laser cut sleeveless tops, pajama stripes, knitted sock booties and irresistible handbags with 3D detailed guitar straps.

With metallic glitter lipstick, a reminder of playing with your mother’s makeup bag, one look that took us back was an oversized micro striped pajama top with matching shorts, reminding us of bedtime stories. A couple of grown up looks followed by way of a floral printed raw silk full skirt paired with a sheer organza blouse and black patent jacket, and an embossed black leather mini skirt with a noir apron tie long tee, the type of outfits you’d spend your childhood dreaming of wearing.

As far as handbags go, all the time in the world wouldn’t be enough. Ice cream shaded peek-a-boo bags with thick 3D appliqued interchangeable straps together with rosebud embroidery and studs made for a fun, playful and luxurious season ahead.
