Runway Report: Markus Lupfer AW18

Markus Lupfer is known for eclectic, cool-girl style, so for his Fall 2018 collection he took it up a notch and described the season as, “something enchanting but almost a bit eccentric and unusual.”

The color scale stretched from dark rust, khaki, cerulean, powder pink, pale rotten orange and kohl black. Silhouettes were structured into long-line midi skirts, pantsuits, culottes, and maxi dresses. A floral print depicting full-form blooms and buds was pressed on in Fall leaf red and baby blue. A midi dress with a high round neck and asymmetric drawstring gathering was paired with a crystal encrusted waist belt and fur, fringe, and diamante wrap sandals – extreme cool girl! However, it didn’t stop there as a high-shine noir sequin top with pink floral embroidered applique was styled with a matchy-matchy pencil skirt and ornate dangling earrings.

It’s safe to say that Mr. Lupfer managed his over-done, yet enchanting collection vibe. Fall 2018 is set to be an experimental and fun season for all.
