Runway Report: Markus Lupfer Fall 2017

The Markus Lupfer Fall 2017 girl is taking her wardrobe from the boys and reworking it with her feminine touch. Mr. Lupfer commented that this season’s woman “likes to mix things together like sporty leggings with sequinned skirts.” Models were seen wearing pairings of masculine sharp construction with a girly sheen, and we liked it.

A strong color palette of powder blue, soft satin pink, emerald green, navy and rich burgundy filled Lupfer’s Fall 2017 presentation, as did heavy texture and a melange of print.

A gray, dusty pink and black checked pantsuit was worn oversized with a contrasting pussy bow blouse underneath, and a multi-tone rope belt to cinch in the waist. While a navy sweatshirt-sleeved emerald floral sequined midi dress made for a refreshing dressed up day look. Outerwear got a stunning upgrade for the season to come with a bright white teddy bear coat, embellished with matching applique floral detailing and delicate silver beadwork along the sleeves. As far as pencil skirts went, there wasn’t a plain one in sight as Lupfer hinted; a midnight blue metallic sequined knee-length number was adorned in sporadic earthy colored floral beading and embroidery.

What we adored the most about Markus Lupfer’s Fall 17′ range was the upbeat, more-is-more accessories and styling etiquette. Models were donned in drop-down jeweled earrings, chiffon printed chokers, metallic leggings under dresses and skirts, layered tops under blouses, and drawstring bags in case you needed to carry any alternatives. Lupfer’s Winter range proves that dressing to the nines is something that will be second nature come September.
