Runway Report: Moncler Grenoble

Moncler Grenoble staged their Fall RTW 2016 collection on the patio of the famous Lincoln Center where their loyal fashionable followers gathered in herds to witness a plethora of ski jackets, outerwear, separates and accessories, all in mix of texture, houndstooth, burgundy and azul. A mix of athletes and models paraded the new Fall 2016 range braving the Winter air, but with Karl Templer at the Moncler styling wheel, they were all still happy to be there, layered to the nines.

New to the Moncler Grenoble collection, the brand introduced key snowboard-friendly pieces, which were a little wider, and over-sized than its other styles. There was a large play on houndstooth, both in tweed and print, with an underlying element of ‘Coco Chanel at the Alps’ in this season’s Fall wear, which we were definitely coveting from afar. The average ski jacket took on a path of it’s own this season, with contrast-colored, fur-panelled details. Our attention drew closer to the short, midnight black padded jacket, paired with cookie-monster-blue fur accents; that’s our Courchevel wardrobe done! The melange of athlete and models were heavily accessorized in scarves, fur-lined hats, leg-warmers, mittens, bonnet-esque headgear and a couple of flat caps for good measure.
