Runway Report: Rachel Zoe SS16

Always one to play up hippie chic, this time around Rachel Zoe aimed straight for the gypset in all of us.

Channeling the glamour of the late 70’s and early 80’s, there was a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy for Zoe’s Spring 2016 collection. Embroidered, beaded, frayed and embellished it was hard to find a surface that wasn’t treated or accented in some way (one of our favorites was a day coat featuring all of the above). Yet in true Rachel Zoe fashion nothing felt heavy or overwhelming and instead seemed perfectly accessible resulting in superbly special pieces one ensemble at a time. Meanwhile colors throughout featured a warm romantic palette of blush, cream, gold and burgundy, perfect for shaking off those winter blues.

Her muse’s consisting of the supermodels of yesteryear were all represented (along with the decades they reigned in); Lauren Hutton in a white silk pant suit and Jerry Hall in an exaggerated ruffled gold-threaded off the shoulder dress but no matter who you envision wearing the collection, the pieces easily transition to any and all women looking to be bold, romantic, subtly sexy and geared up to have fun with their style in a glamorous fashion.
