Runway Report: Saint Laurent Fall 2015

What’s black, leather, and rock and roll vixen all over? Hedi Slimane showed a new season of attitude and edge for Saint Laurent FW15, where the minis were mini, the fishnets were torn, and heavy charcoal rimmed lids, vixen red lips, and studded black ankle boots went with everything. Glittering tiger print maxi dresses and lurex fringe jackets provided the glitz while structured shoulders, colored furs and feathers, and sweeping capes added the glam.  Polka dots and full tulle skirts juxtaposed slinky wrap dresses and skinny leather pants paired with suspenders in nods back to the classic YSL smoking suit. It was another chapter in Slimane’s era unapologetic rebellion and youth.
