Runway Report: Sally Lapointe SS18

Shift silhouettes glammed up with fringe hems met seventies era sequined jump suits in Sally LaPointe’s SS18 homage to monochrome gone modern. In a span of neutrals, metallics and a finale flash of jade, LaPointe made impeccable cuts and textural details take center stage in a collection that mix and matched cozy cashmere knitwear and luxe caped lurex, silks, leathers and suedes.

Sparkling chevrons and stripes covered mix and match suiting separates and batwing sleeved disco dresses while more minimal wide legged tie-waist trousers paired with bandeau tops for looks that were feminine and fresh. Models donned sleeked back, pin straight hair and a dewy glow paired with oversized silver hoops, and wore corset buckle detailed leather belts, pointed toe pumps and feather embellished heels made for board room days and dance floor nights.
Sophisticated yet playful, retro-reminiscent yet contemporary chic, LaPointe’s vision for SS18 was a modern day wonder woman – dressing to take the future of her industry, her social scene, and the rest of the world in style, one look at a time.
