Runway Report: Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2017

It was Fulvio Rigoni’s second collection for Salvatore Ferragamo, so naturally, the fash pack were eager to see what this creative would whip up for Fall 2017.

His Winter range was a melange of neutral sea tones; shades of powder blue, seashell cream, pumice stone, dove gray sat atop a backdrop of black, charcoal, purple and a hint of orange. Lady-like silhouettes made up the majority of the collection, including long line pencil skirts with modest slits, nipped in blazers, clean ribbed knitted midi dresses, and front-pleat trousers with a mid waist.

Animal prints made a peek-a-boo appearance in the form of a long sleeveless double breasted midi jacket paired with dove gray turtleneck, lace up booties and semi 3/4 length marle gray velvet gloves. We particularly loved the purple subtle zebra printed skirt suit which was equal parts board-meeting chic and after-dark glam, as well as the clementine orange long wool coat, shaped with dart-piping details, hidden fastenings and a rectangle fur collar.

As far as Fulvio’s Fall 2017 collection goes, we think it’s safe to say the Salvatore Ferragamo fans will definitely be partaking in this lady-like dress up. After all, luck be a lady every night, right?
