Runway Report: Simone Rocha Fall 2016

As a new mommy, Simone Rocha showcased her latest creations at the former aristocratic home, The Lancaster House, which only helped to assist in the dramatic yet artistic and almost Victorian feminine feel that her Fall 2016 collection displayed.

The idea of motherhood and womanly beauty was infused throughout the 41 looks, both the light and dark side of it. There were nubby oversized knits for both tops and outerwear, often paired with luxe fur accents, sheer sheaths layered with customized tweed – some of which was ripped or featured holes showing that things aren’t always perfect – to swinging in the complete opposite direction with inspiring crystal embroidered draped dresses paired with extravagant chandelier earrings. There was even a reference to bibs throughout the bodice of a series of silk gowns.

With tousled hair balanced with the extraordinary pieces Rocha produced from beginning to end, this is one runway show that is already at the top of our must-see list.
