Runway Report: Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2016

If the invite/boarding pass to the T.H. Atlantic didn’t give the theme away, certainly when we stepped into the Park Avenue Armory Tuesday morning and ascended the movie-set-worthy faux ship, complete with towering smoke stacks and wooden deck, that did the trick. And although nautical was the name of the game (with all of the classics showcased; a palette anchored in navy, white, gold and red, plenty of piping, sailor pants, etc.), the romantic 1940’s inspired collection – flanked with knee-length printed silk dresses – had an almost glamorous rocker twist thanks to yards of sequins, leather additions, bejeweled collars and playful tiara’s turning Tommy’s girls into rockstar princesses of the sea.
