Runway Review: Alberta Ferretti

With a combination of romance and nature, Alberta Ferretti provided a Spring 2015 collection full of ethereal nude and blush chiffon pieces with floor sweeping hemlines for the free-spirited bohemian in all of us.  One by one, empire-waisted blouses and dresses floated down the runway – some with floral appliques – displaying an elevated nod to the haight-ashbury period and perfect for any summer of love in the future. The theme continued throughout, found in mixed media bell-bottoms, macrame style cropped tops and suede fringe found on everything from shift dresses to matching vests and laced up gladiator sandals.  Lace applications furthered the “pretty” factor Ferretti was aiming for creating a full collection of wearable romantic pieces for occasions ranging anywhere from a music festival to a bohemian bridal party.
