Runway Review: Atelier Versace

For Donatella’s Fall 2015 Haute Couture collection, she showed off a softer, more romantic side of the ultra sexy brand we all know and love. She concentrated on evening – as she typically does for couture – providing gowns with tattered chiffon hems along everything from delicate bell-sleeves to exploding skirts and vines of velvet that slinked and enveloped the models bodies all in a dusty palette of lavender, rose, charcoal and olive green. And although it was a seemingly more angelic collection, there were plenty of corseted mid-sections and flashes of skin via cut-outs, plunging necklines and thigh-high slits, providing that rock and roll edge for those that adore the sex appeal that comes with a Versace gown.

For beauty, makeup artist Pat McGrath gave the girls a rendition of a smokey eye consisting of shimmering pale greens while their tresses donned twisted garland crowns and boasted natural waves, giving off a nymph-like appearance which rounded out the collection’s bohemian vibe.
