Runway Review: Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2015

This season, the Rebecca Minkoff girl is set for an easy-breezy summer in the city. Full of muted colours, simple patterns and effortlessly stylish shapes, the look is laid-back and subtly bohemian.

Spring/summer 2015 kicked off with smock shaped dresses, wide stripes and oversized pockets in dusty pastels. Later, separates were injected with a hot coral and fun prints – a stand-out style being a double-buttoned pale blue midi skirt, worn with a simple bird motif tee. The look was topped off by a wide-brimmed hat, dropped at the back – an accessories must-have next year, we’re sure.
Concluding the show, mid-length dresses were body-conscious, flaring from the hips or knee and with sleeveless, cut-away racer-back-style necklines. Another highlight was the print used here – an abstract tropical scene – perfect from taking you from late-afternoon meeting to rooftop bar come high-summer.
