Runway Review: Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2015

When you think Salvatore Ferragamo, a few buzzwords came to mind. Namely: fluid, luxury, elegance. This season, with Massimiliana Giornetti at the helm, these remained true, and gave something a little extra. Channelling a safari, luxe travel vibe, the models wore open-toe snakeskin mules and camel capes, hemmed with snakeskin – a theme throughout the collection. The elegance came in the midi, silky golden dresses, and beige jackets, adorned with fringing and exotic, embroidered patterns. Orange and taupe prints snaked across coatdresses, and copper, wide-sleeved, sporty jackets were complete with utility pockets and cinched in belts. It was the perfect statement of opulence with practicality, effortlessness with care and attention. So perfectly themed, all we needed was a suitcase and an exotic sunset backdrop.
