Shop the Trend: Drawing the Line

One way or another geometric patterns always seem to come in and out of the fashion forefront. Sometimes it’s in an exaggerated houndstooth or in juxtaposing stripes (looking at you Preen) or like we saw last season (and are still seeing), Chloe inspired black and white gridlines.

For Resort and Pre-Fall we’ve discovered designers like Prabal Gurung and Roksanda are utilizing this trend by strategically placing layers of color blocking to create a natural puzzle of angles that form a variety of shapes to create depth and interest (from sweet and simple to arrestingly bold), one garment to the next. And while these two are part of the ring-leaders of this look, everyone seems to be dabbling with this construction.
