Shop the Trend: Leopard

There was a surprising level of leopard prints at Spring 2015 RTW – a pattern generally reserved for Fall/Winter furs and oversized wool coats.  Saint Laurent did a gold play on leopard with a mini dress that was reminiscent of a favorite fashion era – the 70’s.  Roberto Cavalli’s leopard seemed more subdued than usual – presented in demure jewel tones like rouge and plum. At Louis Vuitton, a hint of leopard was incorporated in the fabric details around the trims and pockets.

Then there was a series of leopard print accessories, bringing the season to a new high.  At Alexander McQueen we saw a red and black leopard print zipped pouch with side zip pocket, a wrist strap and some serious brass hardware, complete with a matt black finish.   Francesco Russo created a true masterpiece with a tribal sandal composed of layers of distinctive textures like leopard print pony and long pony Mohawk adorning the back heel.   Even the consistently neutral Victoria Beckham spiced up her stark whites with leopard print loafers – her first venture into shoe design.

There are no limits to how loud you can be with your prints this Spring. Shop some of our favorites in the layout below!
