Shopping For: The New Noir, Part 4

– By Teresa Greenfeld –

Take your wrists and hands to the dark side with the final installment of our ‘New Noir’ series.  If you’ve been following it thus far, then you know it’s the details – structure, sparkle, fur and texture – that make what was simply a black shoe, a black handbag, a black earring or a black ring, and turn it into the ‘New Noir’

Statement bracelets, done with a twist, make all the more impact when worn in black (bonus points if you pair with a fitted, slightly sheer, white long sleeve top, slim cigarette pants, hair pulled tightly back and red lips).  For a unexpected contrast, pair these dark, rocker-esque rings with a sheer pink or nude polish.  Finally, one of my favorite  accessories  – and rarely seen on women – cufflinks.  Women’s wear has taken style influence from the boys season after season, and yet this is one area that has been neglected.  They give such an unexpected twist to the basic button down, and black cufflinks especially, give it a very chic edginess.
