Shopping for: Winter Texture

Here in NYC we’ve hit a bit of a deep freeze and as we experienced our first official snowfall of the season this past weekend we could think of no better time to post a story about pieces to snuggle up in to keep you warm (and slightly fuzzy) than right now.

The texture and volume that Fall/Winter pieces can bring into your wardrobe should provide a layer of richness and warmth that make you want to dive into them – especially on a below freezing kind of day. And just because they feel cozy, doesn’t mean that they can’t be chic. For example, Olivia’s Belstaff jumper is that perfect chunky knit sweater, but with exotic touches to it, it becomes much more than a simple sweater. Same goes with her Blank NYC embroidered leather pants. Just the extra touch of texture gives this simple silhouette much more interest and intrigue.

Also, don’t think that texture needs to come strictly from your outerwear. While we absolutely love the Manzoni 24 or Alix of Bohemia coats in the slideshow above, you can just as easily utilize texture in a smaller way via accessories like with this Hillier Bartley clutch, Fendi mules or Kate Spade beanie.

Happy shopping!
