Spotlight: Amanzoe and Aman Spa

Greece may be in an economic rut, but that should be no reason to hold off your holiday plans to visit the country of Instagram-worthy islands. From crystal clear waters to glistening white sand and the scintillating sun, we recommend sparing a week or two to cherish all that is on offer at Amanzoe, Greece’s first Aman property.

Located in Porto Heli, mainland Greece (a place often overlooked by globetrotters after losing to popular touristy islands such as Corfu, Mykonos and Santorini), and just under a 30 minute helicopter ride or two and a half hours drive overland from Athens, visitors are vowed to an offbeat, once-in-a-lifetime, luxurious experience.

Whether you’re residing in a Pool Pavilion with a private six meter pool or Deluxe Pavilion with a pool double the size (we imagine either would float anyone’s fancy), you’re guaranteed a separate living room and bedroom, as well as two magnificent baths and a large walk in shower where you can admire breathtaking views of skirting valleys. To satisfy hunger pangs, guests are encouraged to savour delicious, fresh food and craft cocktails in one of the four dining options – each stunning in their own right.

And there’s plenty for adventure seekers to dig into, too: wild water sports, and blissful mountain bike trails and nature treks to take in the wealth of local Greek history and culture.
