A look at the best fall bags, shoes, jewelry, and more, predicted to become 2020's next "It" items.
Fashion — Mar 11
We have a strong belief that accessories are the building blocks to any great outfit. They hold power to change an overall vibe, considering a pair of embellished heels can instantly dress up a pair of jeans while statement earrings can do the same for a simple T-shirt. Because of this, each season, the shoes, bags, and baubles seen on the runway are easily one of our most favorite categories to forecast. From chain-linked purses to equestrian-inspired boots, scroll on for the top trends we can't wait to add to our wish-lists come September.
Chain Reaction
If we had to identify one trend that dominated all four cities, the use of chain accents would be number one. Heavy-metal link jewelry is currently heavily favored, and more necklaces, bracelets, and earrings debuted on the fall runways. Chains also appeared as belts and adorned bags and shoes, but you don't have to wait until next season to get started on this. Try out the trend now via our Casadei chain accented footwear that's just arrived.
The Not-So Bridal Veil
What we reported had started in New York on the runways of Brock, Rodarte, and Marc Jacobs, continued at the shows of Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab, and Louis Vuitton abroad. Beautiful netted headwear may be a staple in bridal and couture, but the ready-to-wear collections prove veils can be worn for non-formal occasions, too. Think of a veil as the clever evolution of 2019's headband trend and discover some of our favorite handcrafted designs by Genevieve Rose Atelier here.

Oversized Carryalls
The micro bag had its moment, but next fall, we're eyeing something way more practical. Designers showcased a range of styles from top-handled weekenders to slouchy totes, fit to carry all of your essentials.
Modern Riding Boot
Full-on equestrian-inspired fashion shaped up to be another trending aesthetic on the FW20 runways. While suiting crafted of heritage fabrics set the tone, riding boots become the hero piece to the look (especially when tucked into slim trousers). The structured leather boots at Dior and the stacked heel versions at Hermès were standouts from the many wearable offerings.

Belt It Out
Many designers unveiled collections inspired by feminine silhouettes and shapes, so its no wonder that wider, waist-defining belts are coming back as a prevalent accessory. We loved seeing doubled up details and embellished iterations as these staples are an effortless way to bring extra oomph to an autumnal dress or to create a stylish contrast in between a blouse and skirt.
