I was so excited to see your incredible responses to the announcement that I’m launching beauty. It’s always been a dream of mine, and reading your notes, messages, and words of encouragement means the world to me. I cannot wait for all of you to experience it for yourself on May 6th and hope you enjoy learning about how it all came together.

Love, OP

Olivia Palermo Beauty might have been two-plus-years in the making, but OP had been thinking about it for years. “Having worked with some of the world’s leading artists over the years, I would watch, listen, and learn. What they liked, what they didn’t, and more importantly, why,” says Olivia. “I knew if I was making my own product, with my name, it had to be good enough for any of them to keep in their kits and use.” Enter Olivia Palermo Beauty, the curated beauty wardrobe for everyone. “It’s the essentials, like with clothing, except for your face,” adds Olivia with a laugh. But bringing everything together was the palette Olivia worked on for her debut offering, taking cues from her own life and experiences with tinges of glamour and opulence.

“Everyone knows I love a dramatic eye,” says Olivia. “For the eyeshadow palettes, I wanted to bring in colors that worked across all skin tones and would work together to create rich, vibrant, and distinctive looks.” The resulting palettes, O’Naturale and Soirée, bridge Olivia’s everyday and occasion into two dynamic sets. “A bold eye instantly boosts my mood for daytime meetings or date night with Johannes,” shares Olivia. “With O’Naturale, I wanted to bring in the incredible colors I saw on my travels across the world. From our matte base Seashell, which brought back the beautiful sandy beaches of Ibiza, to the shimmering Caldera Blue which captured the beauty of Santorini’s water, the shades glide on to make standout everyday looks.” Building off of this, Olivia also wanted a decidedly party friendly palette which she dubbed Soirée. The hues range from Amaretto to Plush Tulle in matte and shimmering finishes.

However, Olivia knows the power of a perfect pucker. “I must use at least two or three different lipsticks to get the right shade,” says Olivia. “So when I was developing my versions, I wanted it to be perfect.” The results are three matte lipsticks meant to complement and suit all skin tones. All are neutral tones; Santa Fe features a subtle, orange undertone, Rosebud is a neutral pink, and Chianti doubles down on deeper undertones. Another added benefit? Full coverage with hydration. “It’s great being able to go a day without constantly reapplying,” adds Olivia. “But I’ll always throw a fresh coat on or layer shades before I go out.”
