The big day is finally here. I'm so excited to reveal to you the first-ever Olivia Palermo Collection, which is now available to shop at OliviaPalermo.com, and coming soon to Saks Fifth Avenue, Saks.com, and select specialty retailers worldwide. As I've shared in my previous letter, my journey in the industry coupled with all of the inspiring people I've worked with, has led me to this very natural point—having a creative vision to bring a collection to you.

Slowly we've been building up the anticipation for the line over the past few months, and I thank you for your patience! This whole process has truly been a labor of love, and it's rewarding to debut the beautiful Spring/Summer 2020 pieces here. The offical Olivia Palermo Collection launch marks such an immensely special moment for my team.

The powerful effect that dressing holds each day, along with how personal it can be, has always been inspiring to me. With that thought, my pieces are timeless yet fashion-focused—all ready to be made your own as an expression of individuality. Every detail was carefully considered from the zipper pulls to the closures to the mix of high-quality materials. My genuine love for accessories also shines through on elements of the ready-to-wear. Embellished buttons evoke the look of jewelry box treasures, and neck-ties were crucial on the silk blouses and dresses. These scarf-like details can be styled in many ways, plus, most are removable, so wear them in your hair, on your wrist, or however, you choose.

Speaking of great two-for-one design, we have stylish outerwear options that can seamlessly unzip from a proper trench coat length into a shorter biker jacket. That option effortlessly switches up a look, and they are the perfect pieces for travel. I know I'll be bringing these jackets on upcoming fashion week trips, and my best friend Edward can't wait to wear them, too!

A warm yet bold color palette was also essential to the SS20 collection, as shades of blush, auburn, dandelion yellow, and blues are abound. We utilized sleek neutrals to craft tailored suiting and sumptuous leather to construct pants, tunics, and more. You'll find color-blocked panels and perforated details  that bring a subtle sportiness to the assortment, plus original graphic prints that were created in-house.

Then because this is a namesake label, we ideated many pieces to incorporate an amusing play on the letter "O." Hint: spy it on a particular optic pattern or look at the curvature of the seams. It's all about building brand identity—can you spot these little references?

It was also important to bring functionality to the sartorial elegance, so blazers have interior pockets for everyday essentials. I love the balance of menswear-inspired features with feminine touches—from sheer lace to structured plaids—and I encourage you to experiment with layering all of the separates.
